Chapter 3

" Damn 7:00 and Kamiyah still not back, i must've really upset her. " D thought to to himself.  " I know what  , I'll call her. " he said out loud to himself.

" hello ? "
" Bae , i'm so sorry I've been doing a lot of thinking & i should've never even suggested that.  I'll love you & OUR baby always , i was just stressed & worried about it but i didn't mean it .  So please come back to me. " D said feeling himself become emotional & letting 3 tears fall.
" Bae i love you , and i know how you felt and um , if you want me to come back to you come & get me . " Kamiyah responded.
" where are you ? & i love you too. "
" check outside . "
" uh okay....." D said sounding confused , but getting up & walking towards the front door.
Sure enough he saw Miyah sitting on his porch swing petting his dog.  " um , how long have you been out here ? " D said looking at her.
" Long enough . " Kamiyah said talking shit like always.
" Naa , but forreal ? "
" i've been here bae , after you made me mad i stormed out and chilled here with my headphones on thinking. "
" So you've just been sitting here ? "
" yup , just waiting on your acknowledgment . "
" wow ! "
" your mom knew i was out here . "
" and she ain't tell me ? "
" appearantly . "
" Do you wanna get folded up " D said jokingly .
" Maybe .. " Kamiyah said in a freaky tone & winking .
" you a freak , but are you gonna come in now ? "
" yeah . " Kamiyah said standing and heading towards D's front door.

" we're getting closer to the day when we break the ice to our parents . " D said to Kamiyah.
" I don't even wanna think about that . " Kamiyah said exhaling loudly .
D layed a reassuring hand on Kamiyah's thigh " bae it's gone be okay . "
Kamiyah felt her tears form in her eyes but she fought them back , she was so tired of crying and smearing her mascara . " Okay bae , i'm gonna stop worrying now & let God handle it . "
" That's good wife , now kiss me . " D said leaning in for a kiss .
" i love you ." Kamiyah said kissing him .
" i love you too , but sadly we're at your house now . " D sighed
" i know , bye baby. "
" Bye love , i'ma text you when i get home . " D said kissing Kamiyah one last time .
-------------------- The Next Day ----------------------

" Aye Miyah ! "
Kamiyah turned around to the familiar voice of her bestfriend Tamara.
" hey girl . " Kamiyah said hugging her.
" how you feeling ? "
" Better , you ? "
" Okay . "
" why just okay ? " Kamiyah said concerned .
" uh , girl drama . " Tamara responded .
Kamiyah couldn't help but laugh .  She's used to girls saying boy drama not girl drama , but she accepts her bf for who she is .
" Why are you laughing ?" T asked now laughing herself .
" No reason...... but what's going in that area ? "
" huhhh , it just seems like i can't find the one & when i think i found her something always happens that makes me realize she's not " Tamara said feeling herself become emotional .
" Awwwwww , it's okay girl . " Kamiyah said reassuring her with a hug . " But come on we fenna be late for class & you know how that hoe be tripping .. " Miyah said referring to their first hour teacher & pulling T in the direction of their first hour class.
T started to laugh , but then ask " Where's D ?"
" Oh he's coming late , he'll be here by 3rd hour or lunch . "

----------------------------- Later That Night ----------------------

" What the ??  is this what i think it is ? a confused Kamiyah said outloud to herself while looking at the brownish reddish stream on the white toilet paper.
" I know this ain't my period ?? the pregnancy test was positive . "
Kamiyah wiped herself again to make sure she wasn't tripping .  Sure enough there was more of the same brownish reddish stuff on another sheet of toilet paper . Kamiyah was confused as hell but relieved.  She quickly flushed the toilet , washed her hands , & ran to her room to call D & Tamara .

" hello ? "
" babe , guess what ? !!! "
" what ? "
" i just got my period ! "
" forreal ?!! slap it . "
" G , and why would i lie ? "
" i'm not saying that wife , i'm just confused as the test was positive ?"
" yeah i know bae , i don't know . i'm just fucking happy . "
" yeah me too . but what you doing bae ?"
" nothing much , what about you ? "
" fenna smoke . "
Right when Kamiyah was responding her other line was beeping & her cousin Cymone's ( pronounced Simone:yay , ghetto as hell aint it ? lol <3 )  picture popped up . " hold on bae " Kamiyah said before accepting the call & clicking over .
" hello ? "
" hey " Cymone sounded sad & very worried .
" uhh , what's up with you ? "
" um , are you busy ? "
" i was on the other line with D but hold on so i can click back over & tell him I'll call him back "
" Okay , that's fine . "
Miyah clicked over " Husband ? "
" Yes ? " d said sounding like he was probably inhaling that good shit .
" I'ma call you back Cymone has something important to tell me about okay ?"
" okay bae , love you . "
" love you too , bye bae . " Miyah clicked back over
" now what's up ? "
" Um , you know that guy i be talking to ?"
" Yea , zay ? " Miyah said kinda impatient .
" well we had sex like a month ago , & well i went to the doctor today & i found out i'm one month pregnant . " Cymone said kinda upset .
" Oh wow , and you guys aren't even together ? " Kamiyah responded .
" true , and once i told him , he was like fuck me and i'ma liar & he wants nothing to do with my hoe ass . " Cymone said as she started to cry .
Kamiyah seldomly heard her cousin cry so it really broke her heart .
" I'm here for you cuzo , i recently thought i was pregnant too . " Kamiyah said .
" forreal ? & you never told me ? "
" i was too ashamed to , & i just found out today i wasn't . "
" you should never feel ashamed to tell me anything . " Cymone said now in a sorta kinda upset tone .
" I'm sorry .. but what are you gonna do ? " Kamiyah said trying to change the subject
" i don't know , i might keep it . but then again you know me , i don't want a baby . " Cymone said laughing . Kamiyah didn't laugh , not even a giggle . She knew what was on her cousin mind and she didn't want that to be her choice .
" keep it ! " Kamiyah said angrily .
" Maybe "
" keep it ! "
" I might . "
" Whatever man , you're selfish as shit . what if your mother would've aborted you ? "
" i guess i never seen it like that , i'll keep him or her . " Cymone said with a change of heart .
" Good , I'll pray for you . "
" Okay , i'll talk to you later . "
" Alright bye . "
Kamiyah was glad she could change Cymone's mind . She decided to text Tamara & tell her , her good news . Then she called D back to end her night .

Chapter 2

" Miyah! Wait Up!  T yelled as she spotted her in the hallway.
" Oh hey T!" Kamiyah replied slowly turning around.
" Heyy girl .  How's everything ? "
" Everything's.....cool.  i guess"
" No it's not! I know you Miyah! so you might as well tell me what's wrong. "


Kamiyah looked down at her feet then back up to Tamara.  She took a deep breath as he eyes began to water. She blinked a couple times to choke back the tears.
" T...... I'm pregnant."  Kamiyah stated barely audible.

Tamara stood quiet not knowing what to think or say.  She didn't know whether to be happy or sad but by the look on Miyah's face, this was not a celebration.  T watched as the tears rolled down her bestfriend's face & was instantly sad.

Tamara & Kamiyah had been bestfriends for years. nothing or no one could break them apart.  They were like family to each other; always right by each other's side & this time would be no different.

T reached up & wiped away Kamiyah's tears then pulled her in for a hug.
" Everything's gonna be okay bf.  i'm here for you through all of this & that's a promise!"
" Thank you T!"  Kamiyah replied wiping away her tears.
" No problem love.  now let's go before we're late to class!"

T & Miyah walked in to first hour ( chemistry ) & took their seats.  T pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a note to miyah.

T:  miyah, are you keeping it?
K:  of course i am!! i would never abort my child.
T:  ok(: did you tell Darrion?
K:  yea
T:  and ?
K:  he was stunned.  He said he doesn't think we're ready but we'll do what we have to do.
T:  i'm glad he's gonna stick by your side , but new question.... how you gone tell mama? :0
K:  me & D are having a family gathering Sunday.  we're gonna tell them then.  i'd like you to be there.
T:  then you know i'll be there bf
K: ok  :)

after class Miyah & T walked together until Miyah spotted D. 
" There's my husband. " Miyah stated pointing in D's direction.
" Tell him i said hey! i'm finna go talk to Natalia."
" Alright . bye . "

" Hey bae! "
" hey sexy " d replied before pulling her in for a kiss
" How are you? "
" I'm fine.  just kinda nervous about Sunday you know. " Kamiyah placed her hand on her stomach & gave D a slight smile.
" Everything will be fine. believe me."  D stated as he pulled her in for another hug.  They then joined hands & walked off to class.

Kamiyah sat down in her desk as her second hour teacher began his lecture.  Miyah was taking notes as her phone began to vibrate.  She pulled it out and looked at the screen " one new message from :  love of my life "  Kamiyah smiled then clicked open and began to read the message.

D: hi beautiful!  come home with me after school.  we have important things to discuss.  tell mama Kelly i'll bring you home after.
K:  alright! :)

Kamiyah got nervous.  " what's so important?"  she thought to herself as she sent her mom a text

------------------- after school --------------------

" Where's mama, D ? " Kamiyah asked taking a seat on the couch.
" She had to work late.  Stay here i'm fenna change clothes , alright? "
" ok."  she replied taking off her jacket & turning on the tv.

Darrion returned to the living room wearing a beater and some basketball shorts.  " he so damn sexy."  Miyah thought to herself with a smile.  D took a seat next to her and grabbed the remote turning off the tv.

" i was watching that! "
" we have more important things to discuss . "
" i'm listening . "
" bae i don't think we're ready for a baby . this isn't the right time. "  Darrion stared at her waiting for a response
" please don't tell me you want me to abort my baby?! " miyah replied with tears in her eyes.
"  it's my baby Darrion!! & i could & would never even consider an abortion."  she yelled as tears streamed down her face.
" it's my baby too Kamiyah. " he replied " but this just isn't....."
" i'm not having an abortion! & that's final."  she yelled before standing up & leaving out the door.  D stood up and ran after her, but she was gone.
" Where the fuck is she?"  he asked aloud putting his hands on his head & looking around.
